I don’t have a smart phone, can I still use BlueStar?

Yes, BlueStar is also available on the internet through a web browser.  You may access it from our website homepage at  You may also access it directly and bookmark it here.

How do I download the BlueStar app?

The BlueStar Diabetes app can be downloaded from the iTunes store.

The BlueStar Diabetes app can be downloaded from the Google Play store.

What phones are supported?

BlueStar is supported by almost all mobile devices. You won’t be able to download BlueStar from the App Store (iPhone users) or Google Play store (android users) if your phone isn’t compatible. Microsoft mobile devices are not supported. If you find your phone is not supported, please call our customer care at 1-888-611-4794  (available Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 7PM EST).

Do I have to enter all of my medications and lab results?

BlueStar works best when you enter all the data that you have. Once you enter it, you won’t have to re-enter your medications unless you have a change to your medications. BlueStar learns from you. The more information that you give it, the better your results will be.

How do I enter my medications in BlueStar? I need help.

For help entering your medications, you may go to the HELP section of BlueStar and view the video about "How to Enter Your Medications". Feel free to request help from a BlueStar Educator who is on our staff by going to the home screen, and looking in the carousel for the "Contact an Educator" instructions.You can provide your phone number and the best time of day to reach you, and we will have an educator reach out to assist you.
